Great news for collectors of the figures. The VOOT CRUISER statue is finally being offered for sale. There have been a lot of questions whether this item would be released at all due to the demise of Palisades. I have ordered the Voot Cruiser at Sci-Fi Genre for $55.25. The site also has the Special Edition Boxed Set which contains repaints of various figures. I believe this is it for new IZ figures, as Limited by CAS (which bought Palisades) did not continue the license for IZ figures.

Nothing new has been happening in the Invader Zim community in a while, but just when you think it is dead something interesting comes along. heartshapedskull.com has some exclusive production images from unproduced episodes such as "The Trial". No, you aren't seeing things. This is almost an actual update of sorts. I need to get this site all back up to date with the Palisades figures. As you probably know series two of the figures are up on the online Hot Topic store (click button under the menu on the right to get there). The set of PVC figures are actually on the online store as well. I saw all of the figures at my local Hot Topic store as well. I thought the first series of figures was excellent, but some of the figures of series 2, like Gaz, just do not do it for me. The PVC figures were a cool idea, but I find the paint job on them is not that great, and the bologna Dib is not a bologna color. BALOGNA COLOR!!! I am just going to wait for the regular series of figures and skip the Hot Topic variants. Zim's robot Parents just look so kick ass!

Yeah, I haven't updated in a long time. Now that that is over with, I want to remind you guys of some upcoming dates.

Since the third volume of the DVD contained the edited episode of the X-Mas episode, Media Blasters is wondering if there is enough interest in the un cut version making it onto Mini Disk. (Media Blasters is also releasing Mini Disks -DVDs- of other episodes of Invader Zim) If you would be interested in buying one of these Mini Disks if they were produced, please vote in this poll so I can perhaps send the results over to Media Blaters. Looks like Palisades put up a new Daily Bit today that features the final sculpts and paint jobs for the regular line of figures. My favorites out of the set are Purple and Dib. Considering I really didn't like the unpainted sculpts of Dib previously, I think Palisades has done a great job with the finished product.

Sorry that there haven't been updates for over a month now. I have been trying to keep up with my emails, but with working 40 hours a week and going to school I just can't seem time to sit down and work on the site. I did manage to get the third DVD contest up though. It has a release date of October 12, and is right around the corner. I still haven't heard anything about the Box for the DVDs with the bonus disk in it. Media Blasters doesn't like to update their site, so we are all in the dark.
However, Palisades, is moving right along with the Zim figures. Their release schedule now shows that the Hot Topic exclusive figures and the set other retailers are getting will be released sometime in October. I am guessing around the end of October because I haven't heard anything about the figures recently.

In today's Daily Bit over at Palisades there is a picture of the Zim and GIR figures with their accessories. They still aren't the final products, but I would imagine they are pretty close considering it is almost time for the figures to be released. It is before the official release date of August 31, but just as before the Invader Zim DVD has been released early is some locations. Some people have already picked up Vol. 2 at Best Buy and Hot Topic. You will need to check your own local stores, as some don't have them for sale yet.
