Oh, it's happening.
He's well into his 90's, famously clumsy, and from Nebraska. The odds don't look good for our nation's 38th President.
But will anyone care? This is the only President that wasn't elected......into....well......anything. He was made Vice President upon Spiro T. Agnew's departure, and assumed the role of President with the news of Nixon's resignation. Nixon didn't really tell him.....well....about anything that was going on in the White House.
And can anyone reeeeally tell me some big achievements he did in his sort of one term? Uh.....he dried to stop inflation I think. Oh, he pardoned Nixon to get us over our "National Nightmare" but c'mon...we all wanted to see Nixon go behind bars. (Or I would've if....I was....y'know....born). Oh this guy pulled the troops outta Vietnam, which....mmmm....we could go either way on. He presided over the Bicentennial. Uh......did people care back then either? Oh wait....I think they did....if you go out too far in Vermont your gonna see a red, white, and blue barn with "1776-1976" on it......oh.......the wisets thing Ford did in his one term, and what he will be most remembered for in any historians document........he was the only sitting President to appear on "Saturday Night Live".
I mean c'mon. Chevy Chase was hilarious in his dipictions of him. And my personal favorite SNL skit is where Tom Brokaw wants to take a vacation, so he's prerecording stories that miiiiight happen while he's away.....including Gerald Ford's death. (Gerald Ford shot dead today at the age of 84. "no....not enough emotion.....add in the word senseless." Gerald Ford shot dead today at the senseless age of 84.)
Ha.
a ha ha.
Hmmm.......well.......at least name like a boat after this guy.
Oh.....now you guys can eulogize some guys that are still alive, too.
