Happy Birthday Gilbert Gottfried.
Comedian whose penetrating voice has paved his path to success. Brooklyn born, this squinty-eyed funnyman got his first national exposure on Saturday Night Live in their rocky 1980 season. Fired at the season’s end, he joined the cast of the late-night dud “Thicke of the Night”. After cancellation, he went back to the comedy circuit. An upturn in his career in the late ‘80s led to the job of hosting cable’s “Up All Night”, the late-night movie show. Gottfried’s piercing voice and hilarious lines have made him a voice-over favorite, and the jokester has also made memorable screen appearances, delighting us in Look Who’s Talking Too and Problem Child. Gottfried can currently be heard as the hillarious George Zucco on Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers".
May you have a good one.
OH AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY STAGE BEANS, THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU.

You ALMOST had me fooled.
But thanks to another 42er who recognized my blatant birthday references.

You left references? I just looked at the bottom of the main index...
I saw that man at last year's "Flug Tag" at Chelsea.
How disappointed was I when he was not shot repeatedly in the face by a demented crowdmember? "Quite," say sources.

Oh, and dudes, Czech out 'SuperMan: Red Son.' It's about IF Superman had landed in the Ukraine and had been raised by Stalin instead of the Kents in the US of A. It's awesome and has Batman, Braniac, and the whole gang in it. My dad gave it to me today, it kicks.
