*waves* Hi Veronica. Nice to see you still stop by the moose. Hope you are well, and that your husband is home and safe.

On topic: I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It seems like every day I see another story - preteen gets arrested for drawing threatening pictures, co-ed gets an FBI visit for writing Bush jokes in a campus newspaper, reporter gets arrested for refusing to reveal her sources. We've become way too paranoid.

*waves back* i am well and my husband is out of the army, he got hurt on an airborne jump so they decided to let him go and we moved back to new england. but anyways i dont think its paranoia just stupidity that causes all of these problems.

Four babies and a criminal trial

Details of the case may have escaped the defendants
Four Bangladeshi infants have appeared in court in their parents' arms accused of looting and causing criminal damage.
The four - whose ages range from three months to two years - were released on bail after a brief hearing.

The magistrate in the southern city of Chittagong said the case did not appear to be genuine - but the truth would emerge in a police report.

Anyone can file criminal cases in Bangladesh, and the procedure is frequently used to harass people.

The magistrate, Ali Noor, told reporters that he had been "a bit surprised" to see such young children in his court.

"Everything will come out during the police investigation and the report that will be submitted to the court later," he added.

Bail has been granted at $50 per child.

The children are all members of an extended family.

Relatives said the allegations stemmed from a land dispute with a neighbour.

Hindsight is 20/20: what may seem stupid now may seem like a good idea at the time. what stupidity is, is CONTINUING TO PROSECUTE even when all the facts are in.

"Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function it's a felony in the state of Kentucky," said Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill. did you forget the name of your state, or do you just assume that everything that ever happens takes place in ohio?

That's hilarious.

Plently of stupid stuff goes on in my school, but it never makes the news. My friend's teacher screamed at my friend because she forgot her flute and her mom brought it into school. "There was an INCONSPICUOUS STRANGER on school grounds!" Her mom called the school and told them she was coming and everything. There was nothing "inconspicuous" about it. Even if her mom was doing something against policy, it isn't nice for the teacher to yell at my friend like that. My friend even came back the next day and apoligized, which is a big deal because she never apoligizes for anything, but the teacher just screamed at her again. Then the kids in the class had to spread a rumor that the flute case really had a bomb in it. No one would hide a bomb in a flute case, that's lame.

i'd hide a bomb in a flute case. if you're trying to smuggle a bomb into a building, you're probably past the point of caring how cool you look to the people you've decided to incinerate.

schools are funny, though. i got arrested/suspended for 10 days one time because i couldn't figure out a way to mock the idiots who bring guns to school without actually using the the words "gun" and "school." in fact, i may have just pinpointed the exact moment i stopped taking school seriously, because i realized that these fucking people are calling the cops because they're simply unwilling to recognize "context" in any situation where they can make themselves out to be setting a good example. so it's not my fault that i cook pancakes for a living. it's mr. morris'. awesome. i guess this means we'll have to switch houses, huh? i'll call him up right now and break the good news to him.

Damn this nation is so pathetic after one very easily preventable inncident (columbine) the nation has become a pathetic zero tolerenence state that will arrest you for anything. And about that Bush joke, who the hell would vote for a president to protect their freedom when he's clearly undermining them to make himself more powerful?

fuck you and your "preventable." i'm SO sick of that shit. we're supposed to learn from our mistakes and apply them to future situations, not point chastizing fingers at people for not doing the things that you don't know that you would have done, either.

wow. sorry. that first sentence was mean. replace the fucks with ducks, it's quacktastic.

ugh. fucking birthday card.

The only reason columbine's garnered so much attention is because it's the first white kid murder or something.

nope. i remember hearing about whiteboy school shootings before that. i think columbine garnered so much attention because of the execution-style format they took. those guys were hitmen. it wasn't some pissed off kid who shot the guy who fucked his girlfriend, it was a planned massacre that went off without a hitch.

oh, and they wore trenchcoats. so, obviously manson made them do it. hail satan hail manson hail trenchcoats hail spilled football player blood. :meh:

No. Columbine got so much attention because so many people died and it was so planned out, the kids had a fair sized illegel weapon arsenal they had been saving for a year and practicing. The shootings before it weren't planned and the highest fatality was 5 deaths. Also they planted time propane bombs in the cafeteria set to go off during the high point of the morning hour and they killed themselves once most of their ammo was spent.

Ahh.. neither. I saw the little insignia of the station is that peacock thing.. which is the same peacock that is from our local radio/news station, and the fact that there is a Clark County in Ohio. You did catch me, though; I didn't read the entire article word-for-word, though. I'll remember to do that next time.
