not just any random song. i'm talking about the kind of song that when you listen to it, your own face immediatley pops up in your mind.

mine is most certainly "Meltdown" from the movie "The Insider". sample here.

boys don't cry.

EDIT: oh, by MC chris, not the cure. and for the record, i could probably think of about 65 others, too. most songs cover general themes that most of the people who listen to them can apply to themselves.

two songs. one only applied to me for a short while, but i related to it so strongly that it's still relevant. the other perfectly describes how i deal with conflict and confrontations. enjoy.

I thought I saw a man brought to life
He was warm, he came around like he was dignified
He showed me what it was to cry
Well you couldn't be that man that I adored
You don't seem to know, seem to care, what your heart is for
But I don't know him anymore
There's nothing where he used to lie
My conversation has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's fine, I'm torn

So I guess the fortune teller's right
I should've seen just what was there and not some holy light
But you crawled beneathe my veins and now
I don't care, I have no luck
I don't miss it all that much
There's just so many things
That I can touch, I'm torn

I know I messed things up by turning gold to stone.
Because of my free will, I lied about it all the way.
I need to forget and make this tragic feeling go away.

I never heard a word, a word of what you said.
I never heard a word,a word of what you said.
Too busy being selfish, I never learned the rules of life.
It's hard to confess and look you in the eyes.
I need you to forgive and make this tragic feeling go away.

I know I lost, please let me suffer in silence.
I've said enough, please help me hide from the ghosts from my past for a while.

I kinda pertain to "Sin", by Nine Inch Nails.....but in like two months time it'll probably be totally silly to me.

Ravel's Bolero.

I just keep going and going...and

LIFE GOES ONNNN,
EVEN AFTER THE THRILL OF LIVIN' IS GOOONE!
OH, YEAH, LIFE GOES ONNNN,
LONG AFTER THE THRILL OF LIVIN' IS GONE!

*Guitar Riff*

I like REM's "End of the World."

Well. The song "Conceptare", from a gothic=punk band "Within Temptation" describes me best. Someday I'll find the words.

Cky - Sporadic Movement.

Lyrics:
vital signs are slow and steady
so attentive still not ready
as I was just about to say
you are the one that's over
I am sporadic movement
you are sporadic movement
hate is turning into hunger
just the guy to pull me under
I am sporadic movement
you are sporadic
I involve you
the energy dissolves you
a transformation

a chemical in the brain is so loud
decision making, turning inside out
what you want nobody else has
a swift injection to contain this spaz

snakes will burrow through my psyche
what it takes to lash a strike and
as I was just about to say
you are the one that's over
I am sporadic movement
you are sporadic movement
hate is turning into hunger
just the guy to pull me under
I am sporadic movement
you are sporadic
I invovle you
the energy dissolves you
a transformation

a chemical in the brain is so loud
decision making, turning inside out
what you want nobody else has
a swift injection to contain this spaz

I am sporadic movement
you are sporadic
a transformation

Also, Pizza Day by the Aquabats is a pretty good description of me.

Lyrics:
Well I remember my first day of public school
I was very scared of getting pummeled
And sure enough i did at first recess
I got pegged in the head by a big red ball
And stumbled, my head hung
Back to class with a bloody nose
and soon it was lunch time
Mom said I should ask about how poor kids there get fed
So i got a book of tickets and a scedule and it read

(chorus)
Momday: hotdogs
Tuesday: Tacos
Wednesday: hamburgers and chocolate milk
Thursday: sloppy joes and burritos in a bag
Friday was pizza day, the best day of the week
All the kids would line up super early just to eat
Momday: hotdogs
Tuesday: Tacos
Wednesday: hamburgers and chocolate milk
Thursday: sloppy joes and burritos in a bag
Friday was pizza day, the best day of the week
It always came with salad and a side of pork and beans
Hooray for pizza day
Hooray for pizza day
I miss pizza day
The best day of the week

Well i remember my first day of Jr. High
I had hairspray in my hair and my pants were way too tight
And all the breakers and new-wavers and the rockers and the preps
Would all be in their places on the front lawn or the steps
I hung out with some punker kids who used to make me laugh
Got thrown in the dumpster by some rich kids near the caff
As time went on we figured out it was totally uncool
To eat the welfare lunch
Provided by the school
So in poser punker fashion we just mooched off all the kids
And lived off eating candy bars and bags of nacho chips

(chorus)

Well now I'm out of school and i don't have a job (you're a slob)
I just sit around all sweaty and lethargic
And i'm just thinkin' 'bout where it all went wrong
Why I can't concentrate on anything but reruns
I wish i had some more stability and I
I wish I had somebody makin' lunch for me
I guess I miss the simple things in life
The thought of pizza day
I thought it stupid then but I wish I had it now
I just want

(chorus)

Hooray for pizza day
Hooray for pizza day
I miss pizza day...

Nothing at all. No one song can possibly fit "me". Maybe a combination of songs can fit some of my moods, but nothing can fit me overall. I just suck like that.

Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air
In West Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And shootin' some B-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the
License plate said "Fresh" and had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, "Yo homes to bel-air!"
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie ‘Yo homes, smell you later
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air

you make me so gay for you, eric.

Either "Objects in the Rear View Mirror" - Meatloaf
or
"Cartoon Heroes" - Aqua

One represents, fairly closely, my personal background, while the other is a good similitude to my general personality.

(No... I am not secretly a morbidly depressing Superman. You got that backwards dumbass! :p)

i do but i'm not for violating copyright law n' all. however a sample is availible (sp?) here. the quailty is very bad so the song sounds worse than it is. (http://mfile.akamai.com/3171/wm2/muze.download.akamai.com/2890/us/uswm2/937/509937_1_01.asx?obj=v40203)

I really don't know. I don't listen to songs that are whining about the singer's life so not much of the music I like it pertainable to my personal life.
