Okay, so i'm flipping through the channels because there's nothing good on, right? I see there's a football game on channel 65.

"But, wasn't football season over three months ago?"

I turned to the channel, and it's two German teams playing football.

Nop, not soccer football.

AMERICANIZED football. with helmets and quarterbacks and field goals.

One team is Rhine, one is Frankfurt.

I watch the game a bit, since it has piqued my interest on a slow night for TV shows. None of the players names sounds German...and i even RECOGNIZE some of them from the NFL. then, it dawned on me. These are NFL players, playing football's equivalent of baseball's "winter ball", a couple continents away. to cheering German crowds. and of course, the announcements and referees are speaking English.

And then one thing more struck me as wierded out.

The stadium they're playing in tonight.

In Hamburg, Germany.

AOL stadium.

To those of us who live in the flats and mountains of middle world, does anyone actually go to and talk about these things around you?

and to thiose who give a damn:

...America Online stadium...in Germany?

There are some "american football" teams here in Sweden aswell, but no one watches them play. There are also some people who play baseball, but...... no one watches them play. Too bad, baseball is pretty fun to watch.

I remember those from that Madden game I got. Apparently they all suck, too.
