2 years ago, i was actually planning to leave school before finals week, take a red-eye to LA for the may 11th concert, and then fly back in time for finals. and i had some money back then. not enough for a ROUNDTRIP TICKET TO FUCKING LOS ANGELES, but enough to actually pay for admission at least.

and now, they're actually playing CLOSE enough to me that i could DRIVE, but I can't afford it, and it's a THE DAY I GET OUT, making it impossible for me to get up there in time.

I just had to borrow 60 bucks from our own beloved Grandpa, just to pay for my fucking allergy pills. I can't afford to get there, can't afford to get in, can't afford to get back.

heck, at this point, i might not even be able to afford going to NH this summer. I don't HAVE 250$ plus expenses on me, and since i'm in a bit of a situation here, i don't stand a good chance of MAKING that sort of money any time soon, barring a miracle. I thought the condo thing would be WAY cheaper, but it turns out that it's way more expensive, seeing that i can get free hotel rooms anyway.

I'll be lucky if i can afford enough to pay for internet access this summer alone.

The FF concert was better than the last. More Friends, indeed. Along with the orchestra, Black Mages, Rikki, Emiko Shiratori, and three opera crazy people performed. AND THEY PLAYED ONE WINGED ANGEL WITH THE ORCHESTRA, CHORUS, AND BLACK MAGES AT ONCE. The program went as follows (Performed by in italics):

IT WAS SO AWESOME.

Jesus. I got teary during Aerith's Theme and Zanarkand. No tears actually came out, but my eyes got watery. And on the big screens during Swing de Chocobo, they had scenes of people riding chobobos starting from FFV, going all the way up to FFXI. It was beautiful. Like last time, whoever was the voice of Tidus was the host, and Uematsu-san came out eventually with a translator.

Something strange happened before they played One Winged Angel-- rather, they kept messing up or something. I don't know if it was on purpose or not. The music would start, and then cut off, and Uematsu once got in front of the stage and got on his hands and knees and bowed. Before they played though, he asked the audience, "オケストラかロックバンド？”　(Orchestra or rock band?) and he was referring to whether he should play One Winged Angel as the orchestra or Black Mages. Pretty much everyone said rock band, but he said he heard 50/50 and proceeded to do the mix. There is nothing to express how beautiful it was.

I'll scan parts of the book tomorrow, and post them... somewhere. Oh my god, I won't be able to sleep tonight. I'm <i>so happy.</i>
