Just because someone says nigger doesn't mean they're racist. I think holding the word as a sign of hatred further supports the presence of racism. I'm allowed to say it because my family was halfway across the globe when slavery was going on.
Besides, there's a distinct difference between niggers and black people.

I'm not sure I follow your reasoning there. Sure, you're <i>allowed</i> to say it -- so is everyone protected by the first amendment really. That doesn't exactly make it a savory word to use, though.

I hate it when people accuse other people of being racist over the internet. Or in real life. Or ever. It requires just as much ignorance to go around calling everyone a racist as it does to actually be a racist.

There's no such thing as race. it's just a magnification of adaptations to a group of people and their succeeding generations in a certain geographical area due to isolation and increased gene drift. The isolation provides for greater genetic mutation to take place, and in compliance with natural selection, the mutations which best enable a particular person to be more successful (i.e.: have more offspring) have a better fitness rate (higher probability to survive), and thus pass that trait on to their offspring.
We're all homo sapiens sapiens, just adapted to different environments of the world, and in the last 1000 years (especially in the last 400 years, and ESPECIALLY in the last 100 years) we've been able to move around to geographical locations where we haven't been adapted to survive, and flourish there, because of more gene flow and interbreeding of various groups. Not to say geograpic isolation as a means for increased evolution is all but gone, with the ability to travel anywhere in the world within a matter of hours, but it's heading in that direction, save for those societies which remain isolated from the rest of the world.

Black, white, it's all the same to me. A few weeks ago, a racist came over to my table and started saying things such as "Black people are shit". Then he started making fun of my friend Marvin (who is African American). That set me off. I went over to were he was standing and kneed him in the balls. Needless to say, I got suspended. All in all, it was worth it.

There is a bad part...the kid who had his nether regions obliterated by my kneecap was a part of our local gang, the Latin Kings, or LK for short. Now I have to have a pointy object with me at all times for self-protection. I seriously doubt I'm gonna see my 16th birthday.
