Mighty New Jersey.

I'm a sucker for old maps.

Land of oil refineries, glorious suburban sprawl, and depression. (is there necessarily a link between them?)

The very mention of the state evokes either derision or dismay.

They're both products of the uncaring hollywood liberal elite Jerseyphobes:

Together, they paint a sad and horrible picture of a state of eight million, red-blooded, God fearing souls.

The term "Jerseyite" hardly recalls such accomplished son's of the state as Antonin Scalia and James Fenimore Cooper, but rather Carl from ATHF.

This is not the face of New Jersey, but why is everyone willing to believe that it is?

At least it's not Staten Island?

hey, that would be great for a state slogan.

Yes, but then they would have to contend with a horde of angry staten islanders pouring forth from their amphibious landing crafts.

They would raze Trenton, and all hope would lie in the hands of a band of snipers from Hoboken.

This summer's box-office hit!

Staten Island is an absurd liberal myth that was created for the soul purpose of making New Jersey look good "relatively."

Many, many things are the matter with New Jersey. :( God speed to the poor souls who are trapped inside, but I would never wish to be among their ranks. But give us back Ellis Island, you bastards. :( :(

Hey GUYS! Sup from Staten Island?

There's nothing wrong with SI, dump excluded, but there's not much worthwile here either. but we ARE 1/2 away from the city, which is more than most of NJ.

And South Jersey's nice. If you find an even area between white trash Wildwood and Pine Barren hick-ville. and stay away from the wealthy.

Garden State was god awful.

I actually live in N.J., in a nice, quiet town called Point Pleasant. The town I live in is boring, but safe, and a haven from other towns around me. In the neighboring city, people would beat you with bats for your shoes. Point is the one exception to the whole "N.J. sux!!!11!!" thingie.
