It was bad. Really bad. It didnt have clayface. Plus, they ruined Scarecrow who was mediocre.

I thought it was awesome. It doesn't have to be exactly like the comics, which I haven't read so I don't know what I'm talking about.

This is going to be a good year for movies. All the summer movies actually look like good movies.

Ok, back on topic...

it would be less effective and more expensive than just shooting the enemy with a gun. The idea is nifty, but confined to movies.

In other news, Gotham == Midgar?

What the hell, people? Upper rich, lower slums, a huge (single) business that controls everything, Corruption++, a train system that wraps around it all...

The only thing they're missing is a guy in a long black cape, who dispirses "vigilante justice".

..wait. nevermind. they got that, too.

I don't understand why they didn't just disperse a gas that would kill everyone. Much simpler.

Actually the movie Batman is about the Joker. You should rent it sometime.

It's not the same timeline. This one supposedly messed with the timeline and stuff, causing my whiny fanboy acquantaince to bitch about it. A lot. A sequel to this, directed by Nolan, would be sweet.

tim burton's BATMAN doesn't count as canon, and these new batman films have nothing to do with the previous four. because wb realised they sucked pretty much.

Meh. I can't see people racing to live in a city that was just converted into a massive graveyard. Besides, if destroying the city's their goal they'd be better off just nuking it. Psychotropic substances don't affect buildings and I can't see even the legions of insane people taking out those skyscrapers.

Oh my god
they picked it because they make a nifty plot device
there was no other reason

Now my entire perception of reality is altered.

Shadowfox, middle class americans might not want to be there, but there are always many many desperate poor people of the world who are willing to do a lot of work. The buildings would still be fit to live in, but the prices would go down because it would be considered dangerous. The city would fill up pretty quickly with lots of people who are willing to do a lot of work and take risks, and those kind of people would probably run the city more strongly than the people who where killed.

See, I kind of got the impression that it was the desperate poor people who were already living there.

Oh my god
they picked it because they make a nifty plot device
there was no other reason

Yeah, I know. I just like it better when they disguise that.

It's not possible for all the poor people in the world to live in one city.

Shadowfox
07-06-2005, 09:40 AM
...yes? What does that have to do with anything?

Linzoy

It has to do with what I said before about living people replacing the dead people and the city becoming harder to destroy.
