Well like the dumb-ass I tend to be, I registered a domain (http://www.justfuckingdie.net) with no plans on actually using it. So I ask you, what the hell should I do with this seeming useless webspace? Blogs are boring and over-done. Cant draw or do anything that is the least bit artistic that would require a portfolio. I could do something malicious like create a java bomb that just opens endless browser windows while some stupid .wav plays in the background, but that would violate my TOS for my host and Im not up for wasting money.

So ... got any ideas?

Problem is, Im not sure how to set up FTP users and folder permissions. Its definatly something Ill read into now.

If you want an e-mail address, just IM me over AIM or PM me your info (username, password, forwarding address if needed, etc).

What are you using to connect to your host's server with? FTP, or are you using Telnet? It's actually really easy to change folder permissions with either, but you can do more if you're using a command prompt.

I can use either FTP or shell, so Im sure its probably just going to require using the chmod command from PuTTy.

Who's your hosting provider? Mine actually gave me all kinds of little automated shell dealies for adding new users and setting their permissions all in one stop.

and i'm all about that email address, man. as for the webpage: maybe some kind of crude money making scheme involving free i-pods and trial packages of folger's coffee products. what every person in this world needs is a good scam of their own to take advantage of the rest of the world. (or they need to be selfless servants to their fellowman.)

Spürgleshåkk: My hosting provider is DreamHost. I only went with them cuz I knew some promo code that allowed me hosting for a complete year for a one-time fee of 10 bucks.
