today I got bored, and I noticed that- you know, having anime posters is like "IN" now, so I got to thinking, and while I was thinking, I was having a snack, thats beyond the point.


ANYWHO.


I was still thinking, and I thought about some anime I hear people talk about all the time.

I have seen only two episodes of naruto, with several hundred episodes in between them. So I basically understand every aspect of the show and am familiar with all of it's plot devices. 'Cause, y'know. My amazing deductive powers.

Cowboy Bebop is now the only anime series I can watch without getting pissed off. I mean, Full Metal Alchemist is cool and all, and the dub is good, but Alfonse always calling Ed "brother" pisses me off.

And I've never seen Naruto and I doubt I ever will.

Yeah. it's supposed to go on for a while. they need time to let the manga get ahead. Actually this is the best point for filler episodes, as it's during the three year gap.

oh that's where the anime is? i thought it had gotten past the three year gap. that'd explain it. i don't keep up with the anime, i just download the episodes for certain things i wanted to see animated. then i get reminded why i don't watch the anime. meh.

The whole series has been around for that long, yeah, but DBZ first aired in Japan in 1989. Dragon Ball was even older than that, but I can't find a date besides 1986, which is bullshit because I know it's older than that.

No because DBZ didn't air until 95 in the US or something.

Dragonball was started in 84 to 86 I think, and Z was started in 89 to 96.

I love Dragonball and Z, but for anime, I always thought the art was really...meh. Kinda the same way I'll watch Family Guy and The Simpsons, and being disgusted by it as well. What I find interesting about the DragonballZ franchise is that it's mainly directed at little kids in the U.S. (despite what many high school age fanboys will tell you), when Akira Toriyama intended it to be a silly adult-humor thing before it kicked off.
