mi horario es:

Sunrise: Take dog out, go to chicken coop, put eggs in the shipping crate.. If there's a spot, put egg in hatching bin.

If there's more than 7 chickens, take one to town, to sell, if there's less, take egg to town, give to girl that i like as a present for her to put in a cake. In town, check item shop for new tools, check the church for next holiday, talk to townspeople.

NOONTIME: go in flower shop, Buy/plant potatoes/turnups, water crops. Harvest new crops, put in shipping box.

Afternoon: go to the forest and chop a bit of wood, hoe a bit more land to prepare for planting tomorrow's crops.

NIGHT: bring dog in, Feed chickens, check weather forecast for tomorrow, write in diary before going to bed.

What the hell is this? I mean that, what the hell are these classes? OH MAYBE, MAYBE MY SCHOOL DIDN'T HAVE THEM. BECAUSE MY OLD SCHOOL SUCKS. After graduation my mom was like, "Rory, are you going to go back to school before school ends for the rest of the people and talk to your old teachers and say bye?" I'm like, "Haahaa, no, I hated that school. It did absolutly nothing for me." "They gave you an education." "If I feel motivated, I'll visit the ones I like." I am not a motivated person.

As for my NEW COLLEGE AWESOME CLASSES: Monday, Wednesday: 8a.m.-12:30p.m. Tuesday, Thursday: 9a.m.-12:30p.m.
Classes:
Intro to Career Management
Visual Design
English Composition
Topics in Computers
The year is divided into trimesters, so I have these classes September 6th through November, a small break, then next trimester begins, so on, so forth.

"UH WE DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS FOR THAT AT THE MOMENT" "How do you explain the hole in the auditoriums roof?" "UH THAT WAS FROM ICE AND SNOW." "How long till it will be fixed" "UH, ABOUT TWO YEARS OR SO"

Hah. Have fun with Maya. It's um... "not intuitive", would be the polite way to phrase that.

Then again, I learned on Cinema4D, which was the most user-friendly, useless piece of unweildy shit I have ever laid eyes upon. Fucking hell. NURBs were never meant to be transformed like that.

Yeah. You're gonna need a hardcore manual for that. The tutorials that come packaged with it are great, but you'll never remember all the keyboard shortcuts.

But the good news is, once you learn Maya, you already know every other software package on the market. It's the one with the steepest learning curve, so picking up anything else is just a matter of figuring out what they call the tools and where they keep them.

Maya so far has been my favorite, though, simply because of the "tree hierarchy". If you've ever tried using the "hierarchy stack" in 3dSMax, you'll know what a godsend being able to branch stuff is. God fucking damn.

For CalArts? Really? I thought you guys started next week.
I think we start on the 12th. Registration is probably something stupid like a week before. CalArts is really disorganized. I sent an email to the campus housing person regarding whether I'm getting a dorm or not since I specified a roommate (I'm on the damn waiting list for the dorms, ugh) about two weeks ago and I have yet to receive a reply. They also send a bunch of small packages for registration papers, so you get one package, fill everything out, and a week later get another one saying that the stuff from the first one is all weird and you have to fill out this new one.

I don't know what's going on with my AP classes either. I took AP English two years, so I shouldn't have to take whatever English courses they offer for two years, right? But I have no idea who I should talk to. I don't even know what scores I got on the AP exam.

For the AP stuff to get sent to your college, you have to call the College Board (aka, the Acorn People). I think the AP Services number is (888) 225-5427 (don't ask, I had it written down). They'll just ask you what college you want your test scores sent to and you tell them CalArts, and they <i>ought</i> to know where that is, but you might want to have the address of the admissions office handy. I'm pretty sure you're eligible for college credit on AP classes if you got a three or higher on the test, but don't quote me on that.

HaHA. Those dorms suuuuuuck.

Fuck school, I'm a college graduate and a workin man. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I don't mind the dorms so much. I stayed in them for a month during an animation summer camp thingy, and even though it was four people in one room, there was still enough space to do stuff. Two people in one room will be fine.

They're monsterous compared to the UCLA dorms though. Those things are disturbingly tiny. Two beds, three feet in between, and two desks smashed together behind the beds. You really can't fit more than three people in those.

july:

mon/wed/fri:

5:00 PM-9:00 PM - fundamentals of logo animation (lab)
tues/thurs/sat:
9:00 AM-12:45 PM - shading and lighting (lecture)
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM - shading and lighting (lab)

august:

mon/wed/fri:
9:00 AM-12:45 PM - motion studies and control (lecture)
1:15 PM-5:00 PM - motion studies and control (lab)
5:00 PM-9:00 PM - character modeling (lab)
tues/thurs/sat:
9:00 AM-12:45 PM - character modeling (lecture)
sun:
5:00 PM-9:00 PM - character modeling (lab)

and that, dear moosefolk, is why I haven't been around in forever. my schedule's been like that pretty much since april, with the exception of one two-month class that had lecture from 5:00-9:00 and lab until 1 AM, paired with the 9 AM lectures every other day. that was fun. starting tuesday it's a whole new schedule, but I only have one class (character rigging), and it's only on tues-thurs and every other friday. however, I hear that rigging is a bitch, and I don't have my lab schedule yet.

In no particular order:
-AP Biology
-Standard English 4 ((Because I hate English and I don't feel like doing any work. xD I could easily be in all AP, but I don't feel like wasting that much time and effort.))
-Standard US History 2 ((See above, muwahaha.))
-Honors Latin 1
-Computer Graphics 1 ((w00t.))
-Health and Physical Education 4 A and 4 C ((That would be the "easy" gym, as opposed to B and D, the hard one. *cough they're all too hard cough* My skool has the lamest gym program in history. It's all aimed toward weight loss, and my scrawny, underweight ass can't handle it. x.x; SAVE MY SOUL.))
-AP Calculus
-LUNCH!

I don't get my schedule until the first day, September 6th, so I have no idea when I'll have these. I'm also going to Japanese classes on Saturdays.

bwahahaha... and with this month's classes I'll be working with maya 7 instead of lame ol' 6.5. so many new features and buttons! and a nifty toon shader built in, which kind of pisses me off because for one of last month's final project I made my own toon shaders. not only did they take forever to set up, but in the end they looked like ass. :(

My school schedule is as follows:

Visual Basic
Government*
Math Analysis
Advanced Symphonic Band with 3rd lunch†
English 12 AS‡
Physics I

*Bedford County and/or the Virginia Department of Education really fucked up their school system in terms of chronological order. For example, Civics is taught in 7th grade, but Government is taught in the 12th, giving the average student plenty of time to forget everything they had learned in Civics. Plus, it is mandatory for every 9th Grade student to take World History I, which the state considers a high school course. World History II is taken in 9th Grade, US History in 11th, and 10th Graders are not required to take a social studies class. Another clever thing Bedford County decided to do was split Algebra I into "Algebra I Part I" and "Algebra I Part II," both of which count as separate credits.
†Our school is basically a sardine can, so not everybody can fit into the cafeteria, patio, and outside "courtyard" all at once. So, 3 "lunch shifts" were put into place. These "shifts" were placed into every 4th Period class, and 4th Period itself is three times longer so that people could have 30 minutes to eat and the classes would still be relatively the same length.
‡English, like social studies, is a mandatory standard. Unlike Social Studies, English is relatively the same year after year and just gets progressively harder. So, the number (9-12) represents the grade in which a particular English is taken, and "A," "AS," "Pre-AP," and "AP" are the difficulty levels.
