A thread about crawly things

I love photographing insects, and crawly-things in general.

What I want to know is...what the heck am I photographing? If it helps, I live in GA. Thank you for your help :)

This guy looks like a carpenter bee, except for the like...lobstery fan at the end of his abdomen. I have no clue what he is.

Hah, nevermind about that first one. I did finally tried ONE LAST website and through it, figured out that it is a clearwing sphinx moth.

Holy god, that thing looks more like a hummingbird. I want one.

we still hang our laundry outside to dry sometimes, and once i put on a shirt and a dead bee fell out of the sleeve that looked about like that moth in shape anyway. it didn't look like any kind of bee i've ever seen before because it was fucking huge. but it scared me so bad when it fell out that i stepped on it thinking it was still alive. :( i wish i had preserved that thing, because looking back it was an awesome looking bee.

I hate ants. Ants are the bane of our existance.

Also, the roaches in the garage make me want to keep our shoes indoors but Miale won't let us.

I don't mind spiders crawling on me, but I'm averse to picking them up.

Bees I leave alone and they leave me alone. One crawled on my face once. It was nerve wracking.
