Alright, I've already been a little bit annoyed by the cleaning lady that my dad hired, because she needlessly moves all my belongings when she comes by. But this fucking tears it. I just came home 20 minutes ago, and saw that nearly 40 CDs of mine, not to mention a few DVDs were gone. I've already checked every inch of my room, and every other room of the entire house. I understand it seems farfetched to claim that they've been stolen, but what else can I say? Neither my dad, or his girlfriend, who lives with us, know a thing about where my CDs have gone.

were they in individual cases or one of those "please steal me" CD cases that holds like 50 of em?

Ive had that happen to me ... twice. Once broken into my car and once into my house.
Both times the CD's were in one of the CD books that hold 100 or so.

Smack her. And then kill her. Or in reverse, but she wont really get the point if you hit her when shes already dead.

why are parents so good at finding shit?
my mom can always, always, ALWAYS find whatever it is i'm looking for. even in places i've thoroughly checked multiple times only to end in much wailing and gnashing of teeth, she's like, "oh, honey, here's your cell phone."

Parents just have a way of knowing, like they put it there themselves.

Turns out my dad hasn't lived up to my expectations. And I won't find out about my CDs until tomorrow night.
EDIT: She just put them all in a bin near the bookshelf. In my defense, she put another bin on top of it, which made them hard to notice.

Clean your own house.
Or get your dad's girlfriend to do it.
Why would she put them in a bin?
Lord Koopa

Because they were unorganized.

i would freak the fuck out if anyone even went IN my room, let alone moved some of my crap.
it may look disorganized to other people, but i know where junk is.
most of the time.

my mom goes through my room at random moments. i really don't care if she moves stuff when i'm not home, but when i'm in bed, asleep, she'll wake me up early if she feels like it and start going through my drawers and pulling stuff out: "why isn't this folded?", "why do you still have this? it's junk!" etc. and just firing questions at me, and you just KNOW she had this planned because she knows exactly which drawers to go into. and that's when it kinda pisses me off cause y'know, its MY F'N ROOM

My parents only search my room if they're looking for something in particular.

when i was little i promised my mom i'd live with her 'till i was 32 and she's still trying to hold me to it. i keep telling her that i was four and i probably couldn't even count to 32, but she just won't listen.

i'm 17. this is how our whole family is though. i'm pretty sure my privacy will continue to be invaded in this fashion as long as she's alive. i don't do anything about it because she's crazier than i am.

my mom just waits for me to go somewhere, and then she goes into my room, pulls everything out of the closet, moves my bed, goes through my dressers, and then claims that she "wasn't snooping, she was just cleaning"
i wonder why she just won't clean when i'm home

My mom CONSTANTLY found my drugs growing up. But strangely, I never got in trouble for it, she just took them away. We just never spoke of it.
Some days, I wonder if my mom was just a big ol junkie who got her fix by stealing from me.

lord LORD. there were BUILDERS in my room and i freaked out a wept and killed and smashed.
my room is MINE! god adendum, i couldnt hack that. make a RULE. put a lock on your door. SOMETHING *stress*
It was a bit eerie having electricians in my room to install new outlets, but mainly because I was paranoid that one of them would step on a wire or something and pull some multi-hundred dollar game system or other off of it's shelf. That woulda' been BAD.

When I came back from being at the east coast for a week, I found that my mom had taken my bed and moved it so that it was perpendicular to the wall instead of parallel to it. I have no idea why she did that. She offered no explanation about it, either. It just... happened.
