I guess without going into specifics, I can say that I was in top form on Essay 1. I answered it last, so I was exhausted (and slightly apathetic) from all the writing already, and fucking hated the topic, so I exaggerated like mad. I got to use the Statistically Improbable Phrase "the golden wheat of Time," and call a hawk the savior of mankind.

I took mine on the 1st. we had an essay about flamingoes being a symbol of america in the 50's, another one that was one gigantic sentance about how poverty is bad, and the last one was just asking us to say if entertainers should voice their opinions on TV or the radio

BUT WE SHOULDN'T TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE MY TEST COULD BECOME VOID! :takker?!:

I was in a fog the rest of the day. I walked into english, and my teacher asked me what types of essays there were, and I said something like, "uhhhh," and he was like, "how many open ended questions were there?" and I was like, ".........dunno" and I answered like a minute later. and I could not think of words for my sentances. our entire discussion was one big, "uhhhhhhhhh...er.....what?....dunno.......eh"

Who the hell reads books in which the country plays a crucial role?

I used Frankenstein.

I used Frankenstein.

I used Fahrenheit 451 and I have no idea if that's how you spell Fahrenheit but it better be because I spelled it that way like four times in that essay.

And I think I did pretty good on the first essay. I took at sort of existentialist approach to it, you know, "Warren is basically saying that our existance is nothing but a drop from the leaky pipe of history into the infinite depths of the cellar of the cosmos" sort of thing. I have no idea what the FUCK the second one was about but I bullshat some stuff about the aristocracy's elitist attitude towards anyone who wasn't born of their class distinction and whatnot.

Takker, we're allowed to talk about the essays, just not the multiple choice ones... So yeah, the multiple choice ones were bullshit. I hated that one with the artist whining to his wife about how he wasn't as good as/is so much better than Raphael.

I had it on the first.

It kind of sucked but I figured BSing three essays and owning on a multiple choice is a small price to pay for being excused from a whole day of school.

I had to use Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man for my open-ended question.

I really didn't want to, but I did.

People who took "had it on the first" took the AP English Language test. Today was the AP English Literature test.

i used oliver twist. but yeah, i couldn't think of many others that wouldn't require a hefty amount of bullshitting to make work.

yeah, that was the worst one, which is of course why they chose to make like half the test on it.

random story slightly related to the test. i got a souvenior (spell? i don't care) from the test though. a paper plate with my pre-calc teacher's (greatest teacher ever) picture taped on it. we took the test in the library, and on the outside of the glass walls (yeah, we took it in a room with glass walls where people walk around and yell on the outside). my pre-calc teacher taped paper plates to the outside that said things like, "shut yo mouth" and "shut up your mouth" and "mouth1 is (+) where v(x)=shutting." anywho, one of them for some reason had his picture taped to it. after the test i stole it and walked around with it over my face. then i saw him and waved at him. he laughed. 'cause he's cool like that.

i'm gonna hang it up on my wall.

I should tell you guys this story, because it involves this AP.

Our English teacher has this tradition: After the AP is finished, all the students go outside and get in a big circle. We tear up copies of last year's exam and burn them, chanting "Fuck you ETS". This happened.

Then I walked down the street and got some pizza.

I found the AP Lit and Comp much easier than the Ap lang that we took last year. I got a 4 on the AP lang last year, a 5 on the AP U.S. gov, and a 1 on the AP stat test. I wrote the last open response (country setting) on The Once and Future King. The procter lady said that I was the only one to ever ask her for extra paper.

ahahah, The Once and Future King? awesome.

i got a 2 on the AP French test. what a waste of time and money.

ya, thats what I thought about the Stat test. I have no fucking clue what statistics are, but my teacher excused us from the final exam if we took the AP. Either way I shouldn't have taken it because not only did I fail and waste the money, I also failed the Stat class regardless of being excused from the final. I hated my Junior year.

stat, even AP stat, was wicked easy at my high school.

i kicked the shit out of the other AP tests i took, so i guess everything works out OK in the end?

The college credit for 70 dollars is definatly worth it to me. I only signed up to take the AP Lit and Comp (took yesterday) and the AP US Government (tuesday). I know I will pass the Lit with at least a 4, and I am pretty confident that I can muster a 3 in the gov. -unfortunatly we only take a semester of AP gov, then we take economics, so by the time the AP rolls around we've completely forgotten everything.- I am looking forward to attending college somewhat ahead of the rest of my class though.

for some reason beyond my rational thought I hate math. I am the type of person who enjoys solving puzzels etc. but math infuriates me. I get so impatient that my mind simply shuts down into a psyuedo-anneurism (sp?) and then i projectile vomit over the kid in front of me. no, im kidding i don't actually vomit.

i shit.

poorly executed joke all-around.

i think i'm probably much better at math than i give myself credit for--somewhere along the line someone said "Katherine's much better at English than she is at math" and I just took it to heart.

symbolic logic is the most amazing thing ever.

I used to hug other kids randomly when I was around 3 or 4. Then my parents told me that people don't like to be hugged if they don't know you. Then I became extremely shy around new people. I still am.

i took the ap english lang monday. it wasnt so bad. the multiple choice were harder than the practice tests i took, but the essays were way easier. and got to miss all but one class that day, so thats always nice.

im taking my bio ap on monday. so my entire weekend will consist of preparing for that. im not worried, though; my teacher has prepared the class such that no one is going to get below a 4. the majority of the class will be getting 5s.
