I won't pretend not to be argumentative anymore. What amuses me is that my ideas are just as bizarre to most people as they ever were, but totally different now.

Besides, when you are in graduate school, sometimes an off-topic conversation is welcome. I know a professor (of philosophy) who retired and commented that he was ready to stop thinking and just live. I'm not quite there yet, though.

what kind of grad school?

Klein, I'm halfway through an MA program in philosophy at LSU. In December I'll be applying to PhD programs, assuming I have enough money to finance all those application fees. If not, I'll apply next December.

Chakan, the spirituality is pretty much gone now. A few years ago, I stopped being religious basically out of laziness. Then, before I knew it, I found myself wondering whether there was anything that felt missing once I had stopped practicing my faith. The answer is 'no'. So I remain areligious, and more or less aspiritual. I maintain absolutely no strong spiritual beliefs, but by no means am I a materialist or a science worshipper.

Trogg, that was 15 years ago, I think. I wouldn't get my hopes up for another. On the other hand, Spiral Architect has been talking about another album for 4 years. I think that one will eventually happen.

Focus has an uncanniness to it, for sure. It is a great album, but the specific cause of its greatness is difficult for me to pinpoint.
