ive talked to garf about server level / ftp access before and he was really apprehensive about doing it because he has personal stuff on the server i guess but maybe he could make an ftp account that has access to just the subfolder that the forum is in?

i don't have server access anymore. if there's something wrong with uploads, it probably has to do with misaligned directories or databases or something not being properly updated. i don't know.

yeah, I think the reason image uploads and the old archives are broken is that directory info never got changed in the move. it ought to be pretty easy to fix.
