you guys are the best

but seriously throwing up is the worst.

Takker

at least when you throw up you can be mobile, so long as you have a bucket to carry.

diarrhea sucks more because you're stuck in the bathroom.

no way if you carry a bucket diarrhea is also totes portable

once i threw up all nighton the day my grandmother died, and wasn't allowed to fly to the funeral afterward because family thought i would infect the old people.

i don't like throwing up; hope you feel better soon :(

my advice is eat ice cream, cuz then you'll at least get to enjoy something good the second time around.

I once had some weird stomach bug a week before Christmas and it was all pretty much pooping and HORRIBLE gas pains once I constipated myself with immodium. Christmas rolled around and I was pretty much over my bug for the most part, but I was too afraid to eat anything at the party even though there was delicious food everywhere. :(

immodium isn't really a good idea when you're sick, cuz it slows down your body from getting rid of the infection.

Takker
08-30-2009, 10:06 PM
yeah, but it was constant pooping. it had to be stopped somehow.

Takker

hey, while we're talking about poop, can we also discuss our periods?

DOOKIE!
08-30-2009, 10:09 PM
you can, but i can't. ever since i got my IUD, periods are a thing of the past :)

Not being a woman, no, but the Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implanon#Effectiveness_in_preventing_pregnancy) article says it's very effective and has the same side effects as most birth control. If you have taken birth control and have had problems, you might with such a device too. Most likely there won't be any problems.

I have it, actually. I think it might be keeping me from losing weight easily... but that could also be the pcos... no way to tell. other than that, no problems. I haven't had a period in a long time.

I know the evils of public library computer access. I feel your pain. Sorry to hear about the bike. I'm kind of interested in hearing why you had to sell it, too. You loved that thing. (Didn't you? I'm just assuming.)

hey i'm curious- why do you favor the implanon over the Mirena? the mirena can stay in a few years longer, and the low dose hormones which are released are localized to the uterus, as opposed to being systemic with the arm device. those are really big pluses for me!

because iuds are generally recommended for women who have already gone through childbirth. They are shaped kinda like an upwards arrow and sit on your cervix, so removal is pretty painful for those who have not gone through childbirth.

I decided to sell it because getting it moved to Texas would be a lot of trouble and I'm not sure how well the little thing would take to the extreme heat and massive open expanses of Texan highway travel. Also I figured it was better off serving as a beginner bike to another newbie, and so when I'm in texas (or maybe after I get back from Korea) I can look into getting a somewhat larger bike. So far I'm enamored with the Bonneville t100 from Triumph.

i like this one cuz it has pretty colors:

:( i layed my bike down last month while going to work. now the back turn light/signal droops all flaccid, and hangs like a sad sack.

I'm partial to the green one, myself.
