Future War....of imagination in the 1900's
A website of science fiction that tells of future predictions and technological war ideas from the past. Look at some of the illustrations, it just makes you wonder what it really would've been like if these designs of inventions actually made it to factories, but yeah, it never happened and was never meant to. http://davidszondy.com/future/war/gyro.htm Dear god, those poor Germans.

Like they'd even make it that close to the Hun-killing pimples of yore.

Hey thanks for the link, I can use some of these ideas in my drawings and comics!
Heh, I still collect pulp magazines like the ones shown on that site. Electrical Experimenter and Amazing Stories were always my favorites. Last edited by leatherface; 06-28-2005 at 08:33 PM. |

Ya see, you need to make the exterior supports telescoping, make the treads into overlapping scales, and divide the treads in half down the middle. When you want to go left, you have the supports on the left retract a bit so the left side becomes a bit smaller than the right and it turns (and vice-versa of course).Of course, this would aggravate the already daunting problem of the thing being prone to tip over from even a slight breeze, not to mention the fact that...
IT'S THE MOST FUCKING INEFFECIENT THING I'VE EVER SEEN. You could make six tanks from that thing and still have enough left over to build a jungle gym And at least the tanks can shoot things in front of them.

Forget that idea completely, steam-powered robots are the future. Steam power and clockwork will destroy our enemies!

I have always wanted one of those futuristic houses made of rubber and plastic, so all I have to do is hose it down.
Sometimes these predictions actually do come true. A long time ago for some reason people thought you could bring people back from the dead with electric shocks, (frankenstien) and now you can. |
